This Alfa Romeo Guilietta Spider was exported directly from the factory in Italy to the representative in Portugal – Mocar company. It is one of the oldest “Spiders” in circulation in the world and member of the Squadra Alfa Romeo Madeira. It is an example from the first series of this model, in an exceptional state and extremely well restored, with distinctive features that set it apart from the others.
It is approximately 5 cm shorter, a difference noticeable in the door dimensions. It also has a basic convertible roof securing mechanism, elegant rear lights, and a single window in each door, elements of the Pinifarina design that defined its era. It is also worth noting the detail of the rare original hard-top of the model.
The car remained in mainland Portugal until 2009, when it was acquired and brought to Madeira, and underwent an extensive restoration, including bodywork, paint, mechanics, electrics, chrome, and interiors. Since then, it has been maintained with regular servicing and stands today as the only first-series Alfa Giulietta Spider in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
