All accessories, such as the wooden elements composing the interior cabin and the chrome components on the exterior bodywork, have the vehicle’s serial number engraved. This vehicle was acquired by Luís Paulo Noronha in New York City (United States of America) in 1997, in very poor condition.
The restoration of the mechanical and electrical parts, as well as the complete reassembly of the vehicle, took approximately ten years and was carried out at his residence. The chrome accessories were difficult to find. Mercedes-Benz now markets some chrome accessories for the bodywork; however, since these cars were handmade, these materials are manufactured in brass, which had to be adjusted and subsequently sent for chrome plating before final assembly.
Number of units produced: 3,429, Cabrio and Coupé versions, between 1956 and 1963.
