Temporary Closure of the Porto Santo Youth Hostel
We inform that the Porto Santo Youth Hostel is temporarily closed to the public due to certain human resource constraints and the resulting adjustments in operational areas. Therefore, it is currently not possible to make any reservations for this facility.
We further inform that we are taking and pursuing all necessary measures to resolve this situation as quickly as possible. This website will be updated accordingly once normal operating conditions are restored.

Overview
This hostel is an icon as it is of great demand from young guests looking for a beach and a relaxing atmosphere. With 64 beds, it is located in an area overlooking Vila Baleira, with a panoramic view over the magnificent bay.
Accommodation Capacity: 60 beds
Types of guest rooms: multiple (w/bunk beds) and double room (w/ WC).

Functioning:
1. The reservation of the “bed” service, when available, entitles the purchaser to use one bed in a shared multiple-occupancy room with other users of the same sex, who may or may not belong to the same group. The allocation of the “bed” is the responsibility of the DRJ. Bath towels are not provided, and the user is responsible for making their own bed.
Young people aged 16 or under may not stay alone in a multiple-occupancy room, unless the person responsible for the reservation assumes full responsibility in writing.
2. In double rooms and multiple-occupancy rooms with four beds, with or without a bathroom, the accommodation rate applies per room. In rooms with a private bathroom, the user is entitled to a bath towel, replaced every three days, daily room cleaning, and a change of bed linen once a week. The allocation of the room is the responsibility of the DRJ.
3. The extra bed, available only in certain double rooms with a bathroom, entitles the user to use a supplementary bed, without protective side rails, for a third occupant aged 3 years or over. The DRJ does not provide beds for children up to and including 2 years of age, this being the responsibility of the users.
