Development of Learning
As part of the monitoring activity - development of learning, a team of the Regional Inspectorate of Education (IRE) met last Friday, December 10, at Monte Primary School, with the Principal and some members of the school community. The meeting was chaired by the Chief Inspector of the IRE, Jorge Morgado, who presented the framework of the project, objectives, methodology, domains and fields of analysis.

The purpose of this work (published by Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, undertaken by Luís Catela Nunes, Ana Balcão Reis e Carmo Seabra) is to measure the impact of the grade repetition in students’ performance. They would like to answer the next question: for students that repeated a grade, how to compare their academic results with the academic results if they didn’t repeat?
