The 1953 Austin-Healy 100/4, with number plate BE-19-84, belongs to João Noronha. It has always been a Portuguese car, having been exported to Portugal in 1953, the year it was manufactured. It is a 4-cylinder 2660cc vehicle, with 2 SU carburettors and 3 manual gears. During its restoration, the car was fitted with a Le Mans Kit, transforming it into a 100M and making it much sportier and faster. It received an aluminium radiator, bonnet, doors, engine sump, and fuel tank, which significantly reduced its weight. “Larger SU carburettors (H6)”, a modified camshaft, sport pistons, and front disc brakes were also installed. It was also fitted with an acrylic windscreen used on the Austin-Healey 100S.
It was fully restored in Madeira in 2020. At the invitation of the organisers of the Rally Vinho Madeira, it has taken part in the inaugural event on Avenida do Mar and regularly participates in the Rampa dos Barreiros rally.
