British brand of the Rootes Group, with an assembly line in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, near Coventry, UK, between 1907 and 1976.
It was imported directly from England by FARRA, a car dealership, among others, that operated in Madeira during the 1970s.
The car was purchased in 1976 by a lady, mother of the current owner, and has remained in the Jardim de Freitas family ever since. After spending some “holidays” in Porto Santo, it returned to Madeira, where it took six years to be fully restored.
