The MG Magnette ZB, launched in 1956 and produced until 1958, was an evolution of the ZA model and it marked a milestone in the history of the British MG brand. Equipped with a 1.5 L BMC B- Series of four-cylinder engine, the ZB had approximately 64 horsepower, which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of around 138 km/h- a remarkable performance for a family sedan at the time.
The 1957 model, which is the vehicle on display, stands out for its elegant design, soft lines, chrome details, and a refined interior with a wooden panel and leather seats, features that made it closer to luxury cars.
Although not a pure sports car like the other MGs, the ZB combines comfort, style and precise direction, thus becoming a popular choice among drivers seeking a practical car with a sporting soul. Approximately 18,500 units of the ZB were produced cementing its place as a British classic admired to this day.
